As Associate Director, Sandeepan Basu, contributes to the development of the Global Underwriting Manual by focusing on creating and maintaining underwriting calculators and researching medical advances impacting life insurance. Sandeepan has an experience of nearly two decades in the reinsurance sector and his broad expertise spans underwriting, audit, project management and analytics across multiple regions including India, South East Asia and the Middle East, complemented by his experience in underwriting automation. He has published articles on insurance related topics in publications like On The Risk (OTR). Sandeepan has a degree in pharmaceutical sciences, and holds an Associate, Life Management Institute (ALMI) certification underscoring his comprehensive underwriting knowledge.

She is actively engaged with the broader industry, frequently sharing her insights and expertise at various industry events.

Dr. Sheetal Salgaonkar, RGA's Vice President and Global Medical Director, specializes in underwriting and claims consultation, product development and trains underwriters and claim assessors globally. Contributing to underwriting guidelines and curriculums for insurance education, she brings experience as a former intensivist and Chief Medical Officer at ICICI Prudential. Based in India, Dr. Sheetal is a certified MD, a Diplomat of Board of Insurance Medicine, and the 2022 Charles A. Will Award recipient for her outstanding FALU exam performance.
