Catie Muccigrosso is Vice President and Chief Underwriter for RGA’s U.S. Individual Life division, the company’s original and largest segment. She leads, manages, and directs the underwriting operations for traditional facultative underwriting, strategic underwriting programs, and other non-traditional underwriting offerings. Catie’s responsibilities also encompass client relationship management and associated risk and retention management activities. She is a subject matter expert on accelerated underwriting, alternative evidence sources, and older-age underwriting. She has been with RGA’s underwriting department for over 25 years.
An active participant in the underwriting industry, Catie has served as past president of the Illinois-Missouri Home Office Underwriters Association, Academy of Life Underwriting (ALU) Exam Writer and Coordinator, On the Risk Editor-in-Chief, On the Risk Representative and Chair of the ALU Board, ALU Secretary, and Vice President of External Relations for the Association of Home Office Underwriters.
Catie received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in psychology from Truman State University in Missouri. She holds a Master of Public Health with a specialty in epidemiology from Saint Louis University. She is a Certified Fellow of the Academy of Life Underwriting (FALU), a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), as well as an Associate, Reinsurance Administration (ARA), and Associate, Customer Service (ACS).

Matt Battersby is an expert in understanding human decision-making and improving long-term health and financial behaviors. He is a well-respected thought leader and trusted partner to RGA’s clients throughout the global insurance industry.
Based in RGA’s London office, Matt holds a global role and leads a team responsible for the development and deployment of behavioral science-informed models for use in underwriting, claims, risk management, and customer engagement. Under his leadership, RGA’s behavioral science team has become a key driver of competitive differentiation in the market.
Prior to joining RGA in 2018, Matt was Managing Director and head of the behavioral science team at global strategic communications consultancy Hill+Knowlton Strategies.
Matt has a Master of Science (MSc) in Behavioral Science from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Bristol.

Rosmery possesses more than 12 years of experience applying advanced scientific practices and technologies to uncover insights and solve complex problems. She has been with RGA since 2017.
Her unique multifaceted training and experience pairs extensive data science expertise with the behavioral science discipline to unify both practices and inject the science of how humans think and behave into how we collect and make sense of data. This results in a deeper understanding of the context behind complex models, which leads to more actionable insights for RGA’s clients and the insurance industry as a whole.
Rosmery holds a Master of Science in Behavioral Science from the London School of Economics and a Master of Science in Political Science from Florida State University.
